Enhanced assisted living
This type of support is for residents who have mild to moderate cognitive impairment but do not yet require
the security and intensive supervision of a dedicated memory care unit.
Key features may include:
- Structured routines: A predictable daily routine can help reduce confusion and
anxiety for residents with early dementia. - Increased staff oversight: Staff are more attentive to residents who might need
reminders and redirection throughout the day. - Support with daily tasks: Enhanced assistance is provided for daily living
activities, such as grooming, bathing, and managing medications, as residents’ abilities decline. - Specialized activities: Programming is tailored to engage residents with cognitive
issues and help maintain their brain health. - Staff training: Staff members may have additional training in dementia care, such
as how to communicate with residents who have memory loss. - Giving Tree will charge: Additional $500.00 per month in addition to the Base rents in RATES.

FINANCIAL OPTION
-
Personal Savings
A personal savings portfolio is the most feasible option for paying for assisted living. You may have
contributed to a number of accounts with your banking institution over the course of your career. Social
Security, private equity and pensions are just some ways of funding your savings and supplementing your
income. -
Life Insurance Settlements
Often times, a life insurance policy can benefit the insured. Settlement companies are willing to pay 50
to 75% of its face value to the insured. In doing so, the insurance company now retains the policy and
retains all proceeds upon the death of the insured. Check with your life insurance company to see if
this a viable option. -
Aid & Attendance Benefit / Military Benefit
This is one of the more popular options of which a veteran and/or a surviving spouse may be entitled to.
There are guidelines to applying for this benefit so it’s best to consult with a specialist in this
area. Giving Tree Senior Living can inform you of the Veterans Services Officer within your community. -
Family Assistance
Obtaining financial assistance from one’s family is quite common in affording assisted living. In many
circumstances, the desire to reside at a senior residence persists, however, you may not be in a
position financially. Your children, and other family members may be able to help you live out your
dream. Element Care (PACE Program) -
Long Term Care Insurance (LTCI)
Throughout your working career, you may have paid for LTCI through a private insurance company. LTCI
covers the cost of Assisted Living, Home Health care as well as Nursing Home care. -
Element Care (PACE Program)
PACE is a national insurance program funded jointly by Medicare and Medicaid. PACE coordinates and
provides preventive, primary, acute and long-term care services so older adults can continue living in
their community.
